Gaile Gray Talk Thursday August 30, 2007
Summary
Gaile hopped on to answer some questions before GW:EN went live.
- Error 173 means the store is really busy, please try again later.
- Not likely to be another new expansion, but updated content for GW:EN.
- Andrew may be pushing the team for an emote for the Gladiator title.
- The customisation process for miniatures in the Hall of Monuments may change to allow account use rather than character.
So i hope they will add alot of new content to EotN, i think the dungeons will be easy :P
Because its copy-paste

And still you can try other games, and then realise that you have been a fool and get back to guildwars :P

The underlined part is where my hope is that they might release at least 1 more expansion. Not likely doesn't exactly mean they will not do it, it just meant they might not do it, but with all the work being put into GW2 I doubt they will ever have the time.

I skimmed over the Factions booklet last night and it does say something about being to the south but I couldn’t make out if it was a separate continent.

Maybe, from looking at the Factions booklet it seems my assumption (and we all know what assumptions lead too) about Factions location was wrong.

What's left? Hell, you haven't even started!

Your right as far as Role Playing goes the possibilities are really endless if folks get creative.

Anyone think or at least hope they will add new areas like UW or Furnace of Sorrow? Or maybe if really lucky they will add new dungeons now that they have the feature in?

Chances are I will just play something else, or actually have a life for 2 years instead!
The sheer fact this game has last 2 years already is very impressive! I think we should be greatfull for that amount of time.

It's been 2 and a half years, or 3+ for some. There's still 2 left. That is a long, long time to wait with no major new content to purchase. Free updates (new areas, dungeons, skills, armor) would be great, but from the clearly very moderate effort that ANet put into GW:EN, I think their resources are now truly focused on GW2.
I predict that I'll go into a 'bored of GW' phase around Christmas. Which will mean a lengthy break for me until GW2 betas.

Well from what I understand the beta for GW2 won't be starting until the 2nd half of 2008 which means anytime after June of 2008. It isn't as long as some may think but yeah it will be a bit. I am glad we will be getting some updated content for GW:EN. It will just give us more stuff to do.
